You do not need to see a GP or visit an emergency service - go along to a participating community pharmacist, provide proof that you are registered with a Herefordshire GP and you will have a consultation with the pharmacist in private who will either prescribe the appropriate medication if required, give advice on how to deal with your symptoms or if he/she feels your symptoms are serious refer you straight to a GP or the appropriate service if outside surgery hours.

There are leaflets available from the surgery - there is a list of participating pharmacies on the back - all in Hereford City offer the scheme including the ones in the supermarkets and several in the surrounding towns.
